Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork practice that is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The treatment is carried out on a futon and the receiver remains fully clothed throughout. Shiatsu is a relaxing treatment that can help support a range of health conditions and injuries.
Shiatsu uses the same system as Acupuncture. The practitioner contacts the ‘meridians’, investigating the areas of inbalance so that balance can be restored and pain, discomfort can be released. Shiatsu is unique in that it works on the mental, the physical and the spiritual aspects of a person.
Claire trained at the Shiatsu College, Norwich, which was founded by Clifford Andrews and has a direct lineage from Masunaga.
